Impacting The World For Jesus

Ministers and Staff

Bro. Paul Young was called by God and the people of
Sturgeon Baptist Church to lead as senior pastor starting
June 1, 2010.  Bro. Paul came from Jefferson City where God
had used him as an administrator to start a Christian School
which was sponsored by Concord Baptist Church in 2006.
During part of this time he was also a bi-vocational pastor at
Pilot Grove Baptist Church outside of Latham, MO.  Prior to this
Bro. Paul had been both in the full-time and bi-vocational ministries
in Missouri.  During his bi-vocational ministries Bro. Paul worked
in several different schools as a counselor and building principal.
Bro. Paul has expressed great excitement about his calling to the
area of Sturgeon and SBC.  He stated, “I have never been any more
certain of God’s calling to a place than here in Sturgeon.  I know
that the Lord has wonderful and big plans for His church here
and I am delighted He has chosen to use me to be part of His agenda.”

Jason Kramer was called by God and the people of Sturgeon Baptist      Church as the Associate Pastor December 16, 2012.  Jason came from Eaton, OH  where he had been working in a family machine shop for the past ten years.  During the last ten years he was also involved with the youth at First Baptist Church in New Paris, OH.

Prior to this, Jason had been the part-time Youth Minister at Living Hope Church in London, KY.  Jason has been actively  working with children and youth since high school in various aspects whether teaching Sunday School, leading Bible study,  leading Vacation Bible School, coaching football or Upward Basketball.

In 1997,  Jason married his college sweetheart, Christie.  They are proud parents of son, Peyton (10)  and daughter, Kayla (9).

“I’m excited and humbled that God would use me and that the people of Sturgeon Baptist Church would ask me to be a part of the ministry at this church.  My hope and prayer is that others would fall in love with God’s word, be faithful to obey it, and allow it to transform their life.”

David wrote concerning God’s word,   "More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honey comb.  Moreover by them your servant is warned and in keeping them there is great reward.” Psalm 19:10-11 NKJV.
